A frontline member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, and governorship aspirant for the 2025 election, Chief Paul Chukwuma has inaugurated his campaign council, restating his commitment to run the race.
The Director-General of the 15-man campaign council is a former member of House of Representatives (Idemili North and South Federal Constituency) Ifeanyi Ibezi.
There are three deputy director generals representing the three senatorial zones. They are Chief Uzu Okagbue, (Anambra Central), Chief Raphael Okeke, (Anambra North), and Chief Jude Osude, (Anambra South).
Barrister C.J Chinwuba is the Secretary of the Council, Hillary Udeanu (Director of Security), Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba (Director of Finance), Tony Onyima, Ph.D. (Director, Research and Documentation) and Uche Nworah, Ph.D (Director of Media/Communications).
Other members are Mr. Ifeanyi Njelita (Director of Protocol), Chinedu Eluemunoh (Director of Contact & Mobilization), Chinedu Nnatuanya (Director of Strategy, Planning & Monitoring), James Eze (Campaign Spokesperson), Emeka Ahonu, (Director, Chieftancy & Town Union Matters) and Fort Dike (Political Adviser).
In a statement, the aspirant charged the council to ensure that he emerges as the APC candidate for the 2015 election. He implored them to see their membership of his campaign council “as a call to serve Ndi Anambra,” as he reminded them that “the time to turn the corner is now, or else, we will wake up one day and we won’t have any state to return home to,” because of the security challenges in the state.
Chukwuma stated that his vision is anchored on the acronym H.I.S. – Human capital development, Infrastructural development and Security. “Every other thing will ride on these three critical pillars,” he explained.
Ibezi said that Chukwuma’s decision to join the gubernatorial race should be seen as a sign that the time has come for God to redeem Anambra.
He accepted Chukwuma’s challenge on behalf the council members and pledged that “with our collective commitment and God’s blessings, we will deliver Sir Paul as the APC candidate for the 2025 Anambra gubernatorial election.
“He is prepared and ready. He is tested. He is God-fearing and passionate about service. He is ready to lead the charge to birth the new Anambra.”
