Nnamdi Kanu orders Ekpa to end calls for sit-at-home, Uzodinma backs extradition

MNK’s Letter to Ekpa

FROM his detention cell run by the DSS, the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has warned the self acclaimed head of the Biafran government in exile, Simon Ekpa against calling for sit-at-home.

In a handwritten letter, ascertained by the IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, Finland based Ekpa, the IPOB leader ordered Ekpa to stop pitting himself against governors or others working in various ways for his well being.

In the letter Kanu wrote: “Simon this is a direct order from me. I hereby instruct you to desist from calling for any sit-at-home henceforth.

“Equally refrain from antagonising governors or persons in political positions because you are not in a position to know what they are doing on my behalf.

“I am ordering you to make a public announcement to the effect that you are in receipt of a direct order from me to cancel any Monday or future sit-at-home order in place at the moment.

“I embarked on the movement to liberate our people not to enslave them. I despise and despise any person or entity that wishes to inflict unnecessary hardship on our people.

“I have authorised Alloy to issue a press statement if you fail to make this announcement on your platform.”

Meanwhile, the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, while echoing calls for the extradition of Ekpa from Finland, said that he hopes that security agencies, will either bring Ekpa back to Nigeria to sit at home with us or face the wrath of the law.

Uzodinma told the General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Enugu, Major General Hassan Dada, in Owerri, that Ekpa’s “popular sit-at-home order” having a negative effect on the South East.

Major General Dada assured him that he had his orders from the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, to end insecurity in the South East without further delay.
