THE Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and the former deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, have joined other well meaning Nigerians in condoling with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of his late Chief of Staff (COS) Mallam Abba Kyari.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina earlier Saturday confirmed the passing of Kyari from the ravaging coronavirus disease COVID-19.
Uzodinma, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser, Oguwike Nwachuku, condoling with President Mohammadu Buhari over the death of his Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari. described Kyari as a pan-Nigerian who devoted his energy and time to the service of his country.
He condoled Buhari, Nigerians and the government and people of Borno State on the unfortunate death of Kyari.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of Kyari’s soul, and for God to grant President Buhari, the family of the former Chief of Staff, his friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
Ekweremadu, also in a statement by his Media Adviser, Uche Anichukwu, stated that the former deputy president of the Senate, Ekweremadu, stated: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing on of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari.
“It is a heavy loss to The Presidency and the nation, which he gave his all.
Ekweremadu, who took to his Twitter handle, @iamekweremadu to express deep sadness and heartfelt condolences to Kyari’s family, President Buhari, and the entire Presidency, also prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal repose.
“My heartfelt condolences go to his family, the Presidency, and the entire nation. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.”
