SENATOR Andy Uba, (APC, Anambra West), a governorship aspirant in the November governorship election in Anambra State has echoed why the state needs him.
Said Uba, who has promised to oust the incumbent Governor, Willy Obiano, “Anambra needs someone like me who has resources and connection to turn things around and bring federal presence, employment and infrastructure to the state.”
Uba, who was on a sensitization tour of the local councils in the state ahead of the APC primary election in the state, said that he was confident that he will pick the party’s ticket in the primaries.
Pointing to what he called “a wide range of experience in politics,” that would attract dividends of democracy to the state, the perennial governorship aspirant told the leadership of the party in the state that they could count on his support and assistance in their various duties.
He said that he believe he has shown his commitment to the state indigenes with the donation of 24 vehicles to all the local councils, party chairmen followed by donations of bags of rice with cash support to party faithful.
At the Onitsha North local council, a House of Representatives member, Hon Linda Ikpeazu, called on the indigenes to support Ubam whom she described as a determined and generous legislator. She recalled how he attracted jobs employment to Anambra indigenes during the Obasanjo administration.
He told more party faithful at Ogidi, Idemili North Local Council and Ojoto Idemili South Local Council, that his administration will be all inclusive, devoid of discrimination and marginalization for the benefit of all.
Other councils visited include Anambra West, Anambra East,Oyi and Anaocha Local Council, Idemili North/South and Onitsha North/South.
